Zella leggingsI wore leggings all the time before having Brewer, heck I even wore maternity leggings. Yet post birth, even after losing all the baby weight, I’m self-conscious about showing off my bod in leggings.Let’s be honest…things have just…well…shifted around.

Why am I sharing this? I found the best pair of leggings at Nordstrom’s (Zella ‘Live-In’ Leggins $48.00.) They are tight enough for a slimmer look, without being uncomfortable and best of all the waist band is wide enough to not give the lovely “muffin top” effect. The sales woman also informed me that they are reversible. A shiny side for the gym and a mate side for everyday/out on the town look. They are somewhat pricey for leggings (er on my budget they are) but totally worth the investment.

Happy Shopping!

I don’t really believe in New Year resolutions. I believe we should be striving to make our lives better throughout the year, not just once a year. Whatever your “better” means to you.

Well I’m currently striving to get rid of some of our “things.” So many things, everywhere I look we have things and then more things. How did we accumulate all these things? I’ve decided to make a permanent garage sale on Ebay. It might be overwhelming at first, but my goal is to sell enough to get this situation under control. Then when we feel the urge to buy something new (cause we know that’s not going away), then we can make an agreement to sell something old. That way, hopefully, we will never find ourselves in this situation again.

Contributing to the current issue is the fact that Jordan and I have decided to change our style from traditional to completely modern. The only reason we had a traditional style is because we had mostly hand-me-downs. So we had to work with what we got and  our style was kinda decided for us. We can’t have two creatives living under one roof without changing up our style…modern it is.

Don’t get me wrong, I strongly believe in donating and as a family we donate every year in the Winter and then again in the Spring. Oddly enough we still have too much…ha.

There is something freeing about having less things to distract you from what’s really important.
