This story is a common thread with “working” (a term I find redundant) mothers. Lo Mein...
We tried another one of Rachel Ray’s recipes Friday night. This is better than any take-out you can find. Don’t be intimidated by the amount of ingredients, seems like a lot but it comes together in no time. Plus, the payoff is soooo yummy!

What is your favorite brand of jeans?
I recently fell in love with Not Your Daughter’s Jeans and have had so many compliments when I wear them. It took me forever to find “the perfect pair”, the ones you know from now on will be your favorite, go to jean.
I’m interested to see what other brands women love. It might help me next time I’m out on a jean hunt.

Rock-a-bye baby...
It has been a really looong week! Jordan has been working late every night. I miss getting my evening break, from our little energize bunny of a baby, when Daddy comes home to play till bedtime. I’m not complaining, just tired and running out of ideas to entertain Brewer.
Every night when rocking him to sleep, no matter how tired I am, I find myself spending an extra 5 minutes watching him...

Inspiration at the gym...
I was at the gym yesterday and inspired by a group of older ladies playing tennis. They had to be in their late 70’s maybe early 80’s, wearing cute coordinating work out clothes. Although their game was a little slower than most, that didn’t stop em!

Yes, that’s right! I’m having berry cobbler while blogging in bed.
Noooo, I’m not depressed. We’ve never been the type of family that has dessert after every dinner. However, we had company over the other night and I made berry cobbler and well I wouldn’t want the leftovers to go to waste.

Back from AZ...
Brewer and I traveled back from Arizona today to the bitter cold and snow of Colorado. It’s good to be home, but I can still feel the warmth of the sun from AZ. It was a wonderful trip filled with good food, good wine and good family (some that Brewer met for the first time:) He is such a great little traveler! I really couldn’t ask for a better baby.

Fun finds...
This months fun find is in Longmont, CO. It’s called the Cheese Importer’s Warehouse…that’s right, it’s alllll about cheese. Sometimes Jordan and I just take an afternoon on the weekend and explore their huge refrigerator of cheeses ( and by explore, I mean sample). They have a super knowledgeable staff who have excellent recommendations if you are the adventurous...

Weekend making new friends...
I had such a wonderful weekend and actually took time for myself. I started a new sewing project for the dogs (which you’ll see in a later post), and met some other local mommies for dinner/drinks.
Even though we left the husbands with the kids and were “taking a break,” we spent the majority of the time talking about the kids and laughing about what they are probably being fed...

Croutons...
One of my pet peeves is wastefulness. Especially when it comes to food. When I notice that we have bread/buns/bagels going bad, I chop them up, sprinkle with olive oil and seasoning and toast them in the oven. Quick and easy homemade croutons!
My seasoning changes each time I make these (depending on my mood) but I always start with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and pepper.
